The Big Slurp

Kia Ora everyone,

The World Milk School Day falls on the 30th September this year, but because that day is during the school holidays, schools around the country celebrated and took The Big Slurp on the 23rd September instead. Rowandale School is very fortunate and receives milk from Fonterra everyday, so we thought we would show our appreciation and get behind The Big Slurp Day.

The Responsible Rhinos thought about what colours they would like to see on a cow and used those colours to colour in their cow mask. We all glued the mask behind some cardboard to make it thick, then we taped popsicle sticks behind it to help us hold it while we take the big slurp. On Wednesday after morning tea when our milk arrived to class we all sat in a circle on the lino and took The Big Slurp.

Thank you Fonterra Farmers for the yummy milk you send us each day.

Here are a few pictures to show you our wonderful masks.
