Kia Ora Koutou,

This week we are celebrating Te Reo Maori week, as a class we will have to complete the challenges set for each day and one lucky class that completed the challenge creatively will win a spot for a delicious hangi made by our Maori community.

I have discussed with the children what week it is and to practice as much Te Reo words/phrases as they can. It's a good way to encourage and expose our children to the Maori language.

Monday's phrases were:

Tena Koe - Hello to one person
Tena Korua - Hello to two people
Tena Kotou - Hello to three or more people

Feel free to practice with your children at home. I will post our classroom video tomorrow morning.

Just a quick notice - I have included a white sheet of paper that has homework set for your child to complete tonight, their normal book logs will commence tomorrow when we have a book box ready for each group. I sincerely apologise for the hold up with your child's homework.

I hope you are all nice and warm, have a lovely night.

Miss Fuataga.
