Welcome back to Term 2

Welcome back to Term 2!

I hope you had a great holiday and were able to relax with family and friends.

We have a busy term planned for The Responsible Rhinos. Mr Wakely will still be with us until Term 2. He is a student teacher from AUT. For topic, we are looking at Anzac for the first few weeks, then moving onto an environmental focus exploring rubbish and recycling. At the end of the term, we will be having a Wearable Arts show to display what we have learnt this term. 

Please continue to read with your child every night at home, and sign their reading book. A set of high frequency words are also in their book bags for you to practice with. 

Every Monday, I will be putting some questions up onto the blog under home support for you to complete with your child at home. If they answer all 5 questions, they will get 10 house points. They have all week to complete the questions and bring their notebook in to show me. If your child completes the home work every week in the term, they will get a special prize and a cupcake! Let's see who will be getting a special prize at the end of the term?
